Single malt
whisky improves with age. Once created by our distiller, the immature single
malt is barreled in high quality oak casks and 'laid down’ to age. Over
the years this whisky develops the depth, character and mellow and complex
subtleties demanded by whisky connoisseurs worldwide.
Single malt whisky only ages in the barrel and not in the bottle so this 'laying
down’ phase is where the value of whisky capitalizes for an investor.
Tasmania Distillery is now offering a rare opportunity to purchase these ‘newly
filled’ casks of 200 or 300 litres.
Barrel investors are secure in the knowledge that the barrels are aging in
our bonded warehouse, which is licensed by the Australian government.
Each cask is weighed, numbered and registered in the name of the buyer and
you receive
a Certificate
of Ownership, which clearly and legally defines your ownership.
This certificate displays:
-The size of your cask
-The date of distillation
-The date the cask was filled
-Registered cask number
-Registered address of the bonded warehouse
where your cask is stored.
Note: The cask remains the property of the distiller.
